Skin Therapy
Preparing for your Facial
Daily moisturiser and Mineral Pro SPF30 should be used prior, during and after all treatments.
Products may be recommended by your skin specialist and should be used for at least two weeks prior to any treatment.
One week prior to treatment, avoid the use of topical Retinoids such as Retin-A, Retinol and Retinyl Palmitate.
One week prior to treatment avoid over exposure to the sun.
Do not have any waxing done 48 hours before a treatment on the area to be treated.
Do not use any hair removal creams or shave 48 hours prior to your treatment.
We recommend you come to appointments with clean skin in the area to be treated.

If you are feeling uncomfortable please notify your therapist immediately.
If you have any allergies you must declare this with your therapist, as our treatment options contain a diverse range of ingredients.
Please tell your therapist if you suffer form claustrophobia as some masks will go over the eye area during treatment.
Post-Treatment Care
Avoid any direct sun exposure to the treated area and use Mineral Pro SPF to keep the area protected. We recommend SPF30+ every day and to reapply every 2 hours.
Do not cleanse or apply any products to your skin for 12 hours unless advised by your skin specialist.
We advise to continue your recommended home-care from 24 hours onward.
Do not rub or touch the treated area, this helps to prevent cross infection.
Avoid Peels/IPL/Laser and Cosmeceutical Facial treatments for 14 days that are not prescribed by our clinic.
Do not use any active products (exfoliants/scrubs, AHA’s, BHA’s, Vitamin A, Vitamin C or enzymes) post treatment for at least 5 days (or as personally advised) after your treatment to avoid skin irritation.
Avoid scratching or picking the treated area.
Keep the skin cool and apply a cool compress for comfort should the skin feel hot after your treatment.
Avoid bathing or washing with hot water for 12 hours. Do not use harsh or rough washcloths for three days post peel or facial. Apply O Gentle Antioxidant cleanser to clean hands for applications.
Do not wax the treated area for 14 days.
Avoid heavy exercise, heated yoga, saunas and spas or activities where you are likely to perspire heavily for 24 hours.
Do not apply tanning lotions or get an active tan on the area that has been treated - some facials have longer down time than others. Your therapist will advise you of this.
Avoid excessive alcohol intake and heavy foods for 24 hours. Treatments can be very stimulating and these toxins can make you feel sick or unwell if consumed within 24 hours of the service.
We recommend the use of mineral make-up following any treatment.
Waxing
Preparing for your Wax
Skin should be clean and exfoliated before coming in for your wax.
Avoid direct exposure to sun a week before your waxing appointment.
Do not shave the area 3 weeks before a waxing appointment.
Waxing cannot be performed if you are on any Vitamin A prescribed products.
At your appointment
Please use wipes provided for intimate areas - even if you have only just showered. Hygiene is important for both you and your therapist.
If you need wipes for any other areas please ask your therapist - we are happy about hygiene!
If you start to feel any sensation on the skin that becomes uncomfortable tell your therapist immediately.
If you are feeling uncomfortable please notify your therapist immediately.
If you have any allergies or medical information relevant to your treatment you must declare this with your therapist as our treatment options contain a diverse range of ingredients.
Your consultation form must be filled out truthfully and accurately so that we can achieve the best results for you.
Post Treatment Care
Avoid any direct sun exposure to the treated area and use Mineral Pro SPF to keep the area protected.
After 48 hours your skin will be safe to exfoliate and moisturise. This will allow for new hair growth to begin and prevent ingrowns appearing.
Avoid any touching of the area and heat induced activities for 24 hours, such as hot showers, baths, pools and exercise. Waxing is a form of skin penetration allowing bacteria to enter into the open follicles, so please be mindful of this in your daily actives post wax appointment.
Avoid tight fitting clothes that could irritate the area of waxing.
Daily moisturiser and Mineral Pro SPF30 should be used prior, during and after all treatments.
Spray Tan
Preparing for your Tan
Waxing is best done within a minimum of 48hrs prior to your appointment to ensure all residue is off the skin.
Shaving is best done 6-24hrs prior to your appointment to allow the pores to settle and reduce the chance of ‘black dots’ forming.
Exfoliating is best done 6-12 hours prior or the night before an appointment to allow the pores to settle before your appointment.
Please arrive with clean skin free from deodorant, makeup, moisturiser or perfume.
Do not use any body/face washes or lotions that contain fragrances or mineral oils as this can affect the result, just as washing hair directly before is also not desirable.
What to bring
Bring loose clothing to wear after your appointment – avoid silk or satin fabrics as these absorb moisture and may stain.
Any clothing you may wish to wear while being sprayed – although we do provide disposable g-strings free of charge (if breast feeding you may choose to wear a strapless bra).
If it’s raining bring suitable attire/weather protectant clothing to ensure your tan does not get ruined after your appointment. Pack your umbrella!
At your appointment
Your fully trained technician will chat to you about what your desired shade of tan is.
Your technician will asses your skin and determine what colour is best as all skin types react differently.
Spray tans usually take approximately 10 minutes, but allow 15 minutes to be safe.
Our spray tans typically last anywhere from 7-14 days depending on factors such as skin type, lifestyle and most importantly, your post-tan care regime.
Any allergies or medical information relevant to you must be communicated to your therapist and populated on your consultation form.
You’re tanned and look great! Heres how to make it last
Body wash or soap is not to be used after the first initial shower, use your hands to thoroughly brush off the excess bronzer to ensure no streaks appear on the skin from the shower.
Body moisturiser is not to be applied until after your SECOND shower as the DHA needs to develop and this is best done with your skin free of any lotions. You will then need to moisturise after EVERY shower onwards – treat your skin as you would your hair. Would you shampoo your hair and not use conditioner? Didn’t think so!
We recommend at least 6-8 hours before using any body products.
No high impact exercise for the first 16-24 hours as the DHA used in rapid solutions continues to develop after the initial wash off.
Avoid using harsh exfoliants on the skin for the duration of your tan – this also includes massages and pedicures.
Avoid chlorinated and heated places such as pools, spas, saunas and steam rooms.
Always dry yourself using the ‘wrap & pat’ method with your towel, pressing gently into the skin is best.
Short showers are optimal – become a ninja in the shower, 2 minutes max and you’re out!
Apply a natural sunscreen as spray tans do not contain SPF.
Our main tip is HYDRATION! Drinking lots of water (2-3 litres per day) keeps your skin hydrated which in turn helps your tan last better, longer, fade off evenly and makes it easy to scrub off when it’s ready.
